Such a great insight, Dr John! Here in South Africa, Naspers/Prosus, owner of 25% of Tencent, makes up more than 20% of the entire Johannesburg Stock Exchange's capitalisation. If Xi snaps his fingers in the way you warned, poof goes a significant chunk of SA savings! Fortunately, Naspers is selling down its Tencent stake (it was a founder investor, initially with over 40% stake back around the millennium) and putting significant effort into creating other businesses from Tencent dividends. Nonetheless, I do feel like a partially clothed swimmer here in Africa.
